A. Kowalski was born in Sopron, Hungary in 1926. He was a student of the Academy of Budapest.
During the uprising against Communism in 1956 he escaped from Hungary to Vienna Austria.
Kowalski is best known for his typically East European style of ‘Naïve’ paintings depicting Village life in the four seasons, each painting telling a story. He has exhibited in many Galleries throughout Europe and the USA, particularly in New York, Munich, Vienna, Tokyo, and Harrods in London England.
