Albert Swayhoover, deceased American artist (1982 – 2017).


Albert Swayhoover was born in New York City in 1982. He studied art at the New York College at Farmingdale on Long Island, and at the School of Visual Arts, in New York City. Dividing his time between painting and a successful career in advertising. The demand for canvases increased steadily and in 1966, he left advertising to devote him self totally to painting. He is the recipient of over 27 awards, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Award given by the Salmagundi Club of N.Y. He has had many successful one-man shows in leading galleries across America. Represented by Arnot Gallery. His work has been in museum shows and on magazine covers. Some of his paintings hang in private collections as well as the corporate collections of IBM, Chase, CBS, Raymond James. Albert died on January 9, 2017 at the age of 85.
