Antonio Sannino – Biography

Antonio Sannino was born in Italy on December 22nd, 1956 and attended the Academy of Fine Arts. After moving to England in 1979, he started his artistic career and under the guidance of some of the best-known British artists (amongst whom was H.E. Marvin and J.Adler), he was noted for his classical style and his well-balanced and striking palette. Returning to Italy in 1990, Mr. Sannino decided to have studios in different locations so that he could still travel.

In this frenetic age where there is a general striving towards originality at any cost, Sannino, with his classic subjects is distinguished by the splendor, which he expresses in his paintings.

This young artist’s noteworthy achievements can be attributed to his personal way of analyzing the countryside in minute detail. Each of his works is carried out with perfection and precision. Sannino manages marvelously to transmit to the observer the indefinable sense of feeling in his paintings. His works are enhanced by the variety and richness of the shades and tones he uses.

Sannino is a serious and professional artist whose whole life is dedicated to painting. Few other artists have shown works in so many solo and collective exhibitions of such high caliber. Sannino, an extremely talented landscapist, is well known both in Italy and abroad. His works can be found in the most important galleries and private collections.

“The beauty of the landscape is enhanced by the beauty of our light. It is the light that I paint, the beauty of the landscape unfolds.”
