Jordi Rollán Lahoz was born in Barcelona, Spain on January 28, 1940.

Jordi Rollán Lahoz was born in Barcelona, Spain on January 28, 1940. He began his studies at Colegio de San Miguel de Barcelona where he began his passion for drawing. In 1954, Rollán decided to dedicate himself to painting, abandoning his studies in Commerce. He then attended classes at Escuela de Artes y Oficios Artísticos, “Llotja” Barcelona for five years, where he studied drawing and painting, and participated in the  Reial Cercle Artístic de Barcelona y al Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc.

In 1964 Rollán received a scholarship to the Reial Cercle Artistic Barcelona, allowing him to visit the most important museums of Europe while taking part in the new artistic movements of the time.

In 1966, Rollán held his first solo exhibition in Sala Jaimes Barcelona, with a focus on the female figure, a subject he was passionate about throughout his career. In 1970 Rollán participated in several collective exhibitions in the USA. From 1978 he worked for several commercial firms, designing wine labels, restaurant menus, art posters. After 1980 Rollán continued painting, with exhibitions in Barcelona and other areas in Spain.

Exhibitions outside of Spain: 1977 at theL’Atrium del Casino de Montecarlo; at Galleria San Marco de Roma; 1981 at 1ª Mostra de Pintura Catalana Montevideo (Uruguay); 1991 at Galería Delorme en Trouville (France); 1993 in German cities, highlighting is performed in Madelburg, sponsored by the German company Schönebecker under the title Grosse Katalanische Meister, Salvador Dalí and Jordi Rollán.

Rollán won several awards: 2º Award Ciudad de Sabadell, Award R.Cendrós de pintura Joven (Sala Parés), 2º AwardPintura RAmbla de Barcelona, Award Rodés del Reial Cercle Artístic, 1º Award Pintura de Mahón, 2º Award Victoriano-Seix,1ºAward Cercle-Artístic-Sant-Lluc,
Award Notes Pictóriques Reial Cercle Artístic, Award Barceló de Pintura Joven (Sala Parés), Award Kreisler pequeño formato. After 1975, Rollán ceased to participate in contests.

Rollán has participated in 200 exhibitions. Rollán has had multiple exhibitions in Germany and Switzerland. He also exhibited in the U.S., France, Italy, Morocco and Monte Carlo.
