Laszlo Neogrady

László Neogrady , deceased Hungarian artist, (1896 – 1962).

László Neogrady  was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1896.  He was the son of the artist Antal Neogrady and he studied painting at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts under the artist Ede Ballo.

From 1922 László Neogrady  exhibited his work at the Hungarian Art Gallery.  He specialized in painting naturalistic landscapes many of which depicted forest scenes in the snow. The artist’s extensive use of impasto creates an almost three dimensional effect in his paintings.  His use of light is usually dramatic and his landscapes are very atmospheric.

László Neogrady died on August 27th, 1962.
