Prudence Turner

Prudence Turner, deceased, born in 1930 in Pakistan. (1930 – 2007)

Prudence Turner was a contemporary artist who painted highland landscapes in a characteristic and impressive style.  She was born of English parents in Baluchistan, a province of Pakistan, in 1930.  She lived in Kashmir as well as in London, England. Ms. Turner died in 2007.

‘Freelance artist in oil on canvas.  Born 15th March 1930, daughter of Brig. Charles Windle OBE, MC, studied art in India, Egypt, France, and England, learning from artists already famous.  Fine art publications from 1967 onwards.  Scottish landscape painter specifically, with work in many private collections in Great Britain and overseas.’ (Extract from Who’s Who in Art.)
