Silvia Reisinger, deceased Austrian Impressionist (1965 – 2016).

It is with great sorrow that Arnot Gallery announces the passing of Silvia Resigner, Austrian impressionist and beloved wife of Master Impressionist, Expressionist, and Colorist, MALVA.

Silvia Reisinger Biography

Silvia Reisinger was born in Styria, Austria in 1965.  She studied the history of art at the Karl-Franzens Universitat. During this time Silvia intensively engaged in painting in bright, powerful colors.

She was influenced by the French post impressionists.  Nature, flowering colors, memories of childhood formed the current work, artistic and spiritual. Also of great influence were journeys to Italy, Spain, Portugal and France.

When Silvia met famous and internationally renowned artist, MALVA, she began to study with him. They fell in love, married and continued to paint.  MALVA was a major influence on Silvia’s work and his influence was evident in her paintings.  In 1999 MALVA introduced Silvia to Arnot Gallery who began representation of her work in the USA.

On February 11, 2016, Silvia suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.

1999- to present: Represented by Arnot Gallery, New York.

Exhibitions in galleries and cultural centers in Europe.
