Scola was born in 1942 in Italy.


Themistocles Scola was born in 1942 in Livorno, Italy. Known as a ‘transitional’ styled artist, Scola works in cool color tones.  Scola is an artist who aims more for depth than for visual effects.  Dominant features in his works are light and color with carefully studied inflections and passages rendered.

Prize GBCromer of Agna, the Biennial of Baselice (Benevento), Sarezzo the Prize, the Prize of Cupra Marittima, the Award of Martock, Award of Mapello Agazzi, the Biennial of Solihull, at the Biennale of Osio Sotto. In 2011 he won the first prize at the National Painting Prize Fighille.
