Jean Camberoque was born in Carcassonne, France (1917 – 2001).
Jean Camberoque was born in 1917 in Carcassonne, France. Born in Carcassonne, France on rue Antoine Marty in his parents’ house where he had his studio. Camberoque’s style was considered to be a Surrealist.
He began painting in 1939. He illustrated one book for the poet Joe Bousquet. In 1995 the artist installed a fresco (8mx3m) in the train station hall of Carcassone France representing the land of the Aude.
Jean Camberoque had many exhibitions in the South of France, Italy, Switzerland and Algeria.
He and died on March 5, 2001 in Carcassonne, France at the age of 83.
