Luciano Spazzali, deceased Italian artist (1911-1997).
Luciano Spazzali was born in 1911 and died in 1997. He attended the Academy of Art in Bologna from 1932 to 1937 under professors Morandi and Rossi. In 1946 he moved to Piacenza where he came into contact with Bots, Gustavo Foppiani and Harmodius. Spazzali began to exhibit his paintings in 1951 at the Biennale Internazionale d’Arte in Genoa receiving the National painting prize the Gulf of la Spezia and Premio Suzzara. Luciano Spazzali has been the recipient of numerous prizes and awards including the Marzotto prize in 1953, the Michetti prize in 1953, 1958 and 1959, and the four year Roman in 1965.
