Luis Fernandez Amer , (Spanish-Barcelona, born 1943)

Fernandez Amer was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1943. He studied at the Academia Baixas and the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, ​​then led by sculptor Frederic Mares, where he obtained his degree in 1967, having had as teachers such illustrious names as Morales, Francisco Ribera Sanvicens, Puigdengolas Santos Torroella Mestres Cabanes, pots and Muntané. Also, in order to expand the secrets of the plastic-enrolled at the School of Art Romanesque Sant Cugat del Valles headed when Miquel Farré.  In 1969 he made his first solo exhibition and a year later he studied advertising at the School of Applied Arts Guasch dye.  Completed studies and eager to own a full training, he began traveling to most European capitals visiting museums.  Product of their training, but also their sensitivity, the painting is colorful and full of rhythmic values ​​performed within realism seen in dreams. Resided in Portugal from 1972 to 1975 and performed exhibitions in Lisbon, Porto and Estoril.  From that year he returned to Barcelona where he settled. The prizes include: Amigo Cuyàs Foundation Scholarship for the School of Fine Arts. First Prize Board Montjuïc Castle. Medalla de Plata del XXIX Saló de la Pau (França). Silver medal in the XXIX Hall of Pau (France).  First Prize Campsa 1982.  National Award Campsa 1983. First Prize Painting Competition St. George, Palamos 1984.
