We will miss him greatly.

It was in 1979 that Peter Arnot found the Impressionist artist MALVA and had the Arnot Gallery represent his paintings in the United States.

Herbert Arnot, the third generation in the family art business, saw the potential in a young artist.  Together, MALVA and the ARNOT Gallery grew over many years to follow and into the new Millennium.

The young artist, beginning his career in the USA with the Arnot Gallery, was an Impressionist.  As the artist grew, he developed his growth through Expressionism.  This earlier collection illustrates the growth and development of the artist, MALVA, from his impressionist to expressionist painting style. From young artist learning, to mature artist knowing himself. From impressionist to expressing his emotions from his soul to the canvas.  The development of the ‘movement’ within his paintings is evident.  The beauty of these impressionist landscapes are evident in his earlier works.
