Nikerk, Dutch artist specializing in Indonesian subjects.


Circa 1959.  Many Dutch artists who specialized in Indonesian subject matter were born or lived in Indonesia for a large part of their lives before moving to Holland.  Others were born in South Africa, moved to Indonesia and then moved to Holland to paint and reside at the end of their lives.
