Robert Louis Raymond Duflos

by on September 8, 2016

Robert Louis Raymond Duflos, deceased artist from France (1898-1900’s).

Robert Louis Raymond Duflos was born in 1898 in France.

In addition to the nude studies that he is best known for, Robert Duflos also created portraits, landscapes, marine paintings, and especially well known for his fruit and floral still lifes. Duflos’s still lifes can also be seen in the light of the 20th-century artistic trend known as the “call to order.” After decades of avant-garde developments and experimentation with abstraction, many European artists returned to representational forms in the 1920’s as a reaction to the chaos, irrationality, and destruction of WWI. Robert Duflos died in France precise date unknown in 1900’s.

References on Robert Louis Raymond Duflos may be found in the Dictionary of artists E. Benezit Volume IV / 812.
